It was a very short visit but it was awesome. Thanks for visiting, boo!! And congrats once again on your new job!

Ele and Finn Visit
Ele and I met out at Salsa Fresh earlier this week for a nice cheesy lunch, then we sat on my couch for a few hours feeding the babies, watching the birds and gossiping. She even brought a food donation for the fridge, hooray!
I can’t believe how big Finn is in comparison to Henry. Having been hauling Henry around for a few weeks now, I was really surprised to see that he is actually very teeny!
Read Ele’s post here.
Labyrinth
Thank goodness Henry came early! It meant that Cristin and I got to keep our Labyrinth date at the Colony. Hoooray for popcorn and beer!!!
Cristin was super excited and blogged about her preparations here and here.
We had a terrific time, forgoing our usual dinner at The Bull and Bear for more face time with Henry.
Look how freaking cute we three are.
Cristin has lovingly documented our experience here. Read her post – it’s good stuff.
Here are a few of my fave scenes from the movie:

Shower Wrap-up
I wanted to take a minute to thank the ladies that made this event as special and fabulous as it was. The core group of Ali, Amy, Tyra and Mom planned and organized the event, which required lots of e-mail and a few conference calls. Amy flew in from Atlanta and Ali drove up, toting decorating items and fresh flowers, from Birmingham. Lindsay and Ian flew in from Dallas, and Ian helped soothe the soul of a few new mothers who came to the party while Lindsay made that awesome fondue. Monica left her baby and husband for the weekend and flew in from Austin to be with us. Cristin made pudding shots and photographed the event. Everyone helped out getting things set up. And it seemed as if Mom cleaned the entire kitchen by herself – we had to chase her out of there!
I love you guys, all of you!
Some cute personal shots I found.
And did I mention all the gorgeous floral arrangements?
This one arrived from Granma.
And the rest were scattered around the house.

So Excited!
I have a million things to do right now, but just had to take a second to say how exited I am. Tomorrow is my big shower that the girls are throwing for me.
First, it’s just awesome that the girls are going to so much trouble and I love them so much for showering me with love like this. It sounds like there have been all sorts of plans and preparations and I am super excited!
Second, I am stoked to say that more out-of-town guests are showing up than I would have imagined! Amy and Ali, who helped organize this shindig, are both going to make it. Not that I’m not delighted they’re coming, but I was definitely counting on them to make it, being some of my oldest and dearest buds. Additionally, Monica is coming in from Austin, and Lindsay is coming in from Dallas!
They’re all crashing at my place, which makes me even happier. Oh, and Linz is bringing 4-month-old Ian, so we’ll have a real-life prop for the shower!!
OK, I hafta get back to work and get the house prepped for everybody’s arrival!

Ladies Who Lunch
I can’t highly enough recommend a very long lunch at a fancy cafe with girlfriends to soothe the soul. Especially on a workday. 🙂
On Tuesday, I met with new mommies Ele and Molly and babies Finn and Cooper at the cafe at Nordstrom to have their tasty chicken caesar.
It was awesome getting to catch up with the girls – I haven’t seen Molly since Ele’s baby shower and it’s been about 5 weeks since I’d seen Ele and Finn. We chatted babies and transitions and pregnancy, even a little L&D. I definitely felt better seeing what it’s like on the other side, and knowing that I can do it, too! 🙂

Our Great Caper
We pranked the Colony!
If you’ve been keeping up, you might know that The Colony is showing LABYRINTH as part of their Cool Classics series. Unfortunately, they picked March 19th, four days after my due date.
So Cristin and I have been lobbying for them to move the date. Sadly, they haven’t budged. On Wednesday, we went to see The Great Muppet Caper and we decided to practice a litle civil disobedience. We took these clever little signs that Cristin made and hung them in the bathroom. Cuz we’re crazy like that!
For more on our little caper, check out Cristin’s much-more detailed post.
