Henry’s Photo Shoot

Cristin is super awesome. Y’all already know that. But just to be sure, it’s true.

She came over to do a photo shoot of Henry and the family. We got some amazing pictures. We also had a little lunch and a wee bit of champagne. Of course. Here are some of my favorite pics. You can also view her post to see her favorite pictures.

High Country Sightseeing

We went on a few outings while we were at the cabin. We browsed the shops in Blowing Rock, and had a lovely pizza lunch at Mellow Mushroom.
We hit the Watauga County Farmers’ Market on Saturday.

And on the way out of town, mom and I stopped to do some good old-fashioned gem mining. She’s been wanting to do this for years so I surprised her on the way out of town with this adventure. We had a great time and ordered more than one stone to be cut. I hope they turn out nice!!!

Boone Cabin

My mom and I definitely enjoyed the few days we spent at the cabin with Dave and his parents – very relaxing. And it was great for Henry to have three grandparents there to spoil him!

We spent the second part of our Austin trip with Grant, Michelle, Larry and Hiroe. It was super awesome. Here are my favorite pictures (more after the fold).

Finn Visit

Filed under: Ele — JeniQ @ 10:32 am

Recently Will, Ele and Finn came by to visit with us. Getting together was a late afternoon plan. I was happy to do something spontaneous on a night we usually spend in. We had a nice evening with a few drinks and Finn got to have dinner over here. Henry managed to coerce us to keep him up past his bedtime – he refused to go to sleep when he knew Finn was still downstairs playing with his toys!

Having Finn over is helpful to us because we see where we need to start shoring up our defenses. Our house is still not toddler proof because Henry is not crawling yet.

I like this shot – there’s Henry on Will’s shoulders and Finn on Dave’s.

Happiest Birthday Ever!

Dave really spoiled me for my birthday this year. It seemed like every day for a week I got presents! It started with that amazing cake he made – so yummy and gorgeous!

And then he got me the Iron Man DVD, a Venture Industries t-shirt, a 4-port Tardis USB hub (that makes sound and light!) and my very own Muno plush!!
It was a great haul. 🙂 Thanks Dave and Henry for making my birthday week so special!!

After 16 months of carefree livin’, it was quite a shocker to see Aunt Flo today.
