I really must add this link.
Remember the world again, and remember him: Nine’s ears, Ten’s mouth. The
suits and the smile and Barcelona. That’s what you do.
Who is this person? I love the writing. I love how he calls him “Ten.” Kudos!

“You stupid, stupid people. I’ve seen what you’ve done. It’s finally happened.” He raises his arms to the sky and screams. “Heaven is empty, and Hell is bursting at the seams!”
It’s a good flick. I’d recommend it.
How interesting. I’ve just started watching The Second Coming. The character Eccleston plays is very similar to the character he plays in Doctor Who – can you say God complex? He even says the same thing “You humans! [Insert compliment, then insult here].” Interestingly enough, The Second Coming was written by Russell T. Davies, who wrote many Doctor Who episodes.
It turns out it was a made-for-TV miniseries, so I got through Part 1 last night and hope to finish the rest tonight.
This evening I watched a Season 1 episode of Doctor Who. It seemed so foreign to have Christopher Eccleston play the doctor!! I guess that means I really took to David Tennant – he is a fabulous doctor!
Now, back to the movie!
Here’s one from the Small World department. Last night Kerri called me up to go grab a beer and some dinner. We debated our choices. Lynnwood was out because they were rude to Ker. O’Malley’s was out because it’s just too smoky. Dos Taquitos was closed. And Ben’s Place was out because 1) Kerri went there on Saturday and 2) there is a total tool of a waiter who works there. He is so annoying that I decided we should just avoid the place. We ended up going to Rudino’s Rooftop.
We walked out onto the patio and it was quite crowded. As we milled, looking for a seat, two guys sitting at a large table offered us a seat at the table. There weren’t a lot of options so we sat down…with the waiter from Ben’s Place. Ha! Luckily, he left after another beer. Obnoxious and drunk, what a lovely combination.
Towards the end of the night, we ended up talking with this 7 foot tall guy. His nickname is, not surprisingly, Lurch. I can’t believe I didn’t have my camera. His license plate is a Hurricane’s vanity plate, so it has the little Hurricanes symbol on the left. On the right, it says 1LUR and the two small characters that designate the tag type are CH. Ha! How clever. If you don’t quite get it, you will the next time you see a Carolina Hurricanes vanity plate.
I finally snapped some pictures of the mystery larvae that’s in my worm bin. Can you identify it? It’s not listed in any “common worm bin critters” references. Wicked looking, aren’t they? They are less than a centimeter long.
Here is a video of the little critters movin’. They did not like sitting in the hot sun. I never have felt them (intentionally) so I don’t know if they’re as pokey as they look.
And here’s another mystery creature. Any idea what these are? Perhaps this is the fruit fly that’s been driving me mad. Don’t let the close-up fool you. This guy is less than one centimeter long.
Wow. The Georgia Aquarium is just amazing. I’m so glad we made time to visit it before I left. If you love the fishies like I do, go!
Here are some of my favorite pictures.
