I was introduced to Firefly late, after the actual run on Fox. Almost immediately, I fell in love with it. The entire DVD set is like sci-fi/space-opera/western gold to me. I was sold on the idea entirely, from stem to stern.
But the movie. The Big Damn Movie. It hurts too much to watch it, you know? Because it is so dark and so grave and laced with finality.
I guess I just prefer to think that Serenity is still flying, full crew aboard, always winning and escaping by the skin of their teeth.

This is a very good point. When I think of the gang, I think of all the good times from the series, never the movie.
I wish they’d continue the series.
